Wish I'd checked here first. They attempted to charge waiting time longer than the driver was even there for and started the clock 25 minutes before my requested pick-up time. After putting the wrong person in the car, I then had to wait 20 minutes for them to correct their error. Where was my 55 pence per minute refund?!Luckily I was paying cash so refused to pay the additional scam charge.
I was overcharged parking too which was hilariously refunded as a voucher.Worst taxi company I have ever used. I'd pass on the voucher but wouldn't wish anyone the misfortune of making a trip with Addison Lee! Feedback website would not work.Website to check driver details or journey status didn’t work.Driver didn’t greet or put my bag in the boot.Driver got confused and needed assistance when a local diversion was in place.Driver did not use Mercedes navigation.Driver used wayz app but his phone was set on screen lock and his phone was positioned sideways - so missed a turning.Driver don’t take my bag out when departing, but just opened the boot.This is not a premium service for £100 for 45 journey to airport. Have used Flyte Tyme and then Addison Lee car service for years. Early afternoon a call was placed for car service pick up at 7.
Destination La Guardia airport. Later received an email with confirmation #, driver's cell # and message that car was on its way. At 6:55 no car. Call placed to driver. Driver stated that I had turned him away. There was never a car in my drive for me to 'turn away'.

Call placed to customer service. Customer service stated that they needed to speak with dispatch. After speaking with dispatch customer service then changed their story when I was told that they had placed 'numerous' calls to me to inform that pickup would be an hour later, at 8. Again untrue. My phone records all calls. All incoming calls/messages checked. None received from Addison Lee or anyone related.
Grateful that I had my own car to get to La Guardia airport on time, however, the return flight arrives at Newark airport. This now involves taking a car service from Newark to La Guardia, to pick up my car in order to drive home. You can bet that I will not be utilizing Addison Lee this time or ever again. And cannot recommend this car service for any transportation needs. If a car service cannot pick you up on time (or at all) and get you from A to B, they have failed at the only function of their existence!

I am writing a review because The driver I had today made me late for my bachelors degree exam. I asked when I got In if I had enough time. I even asked if he could make the journey in enough time. He stated yes. Then he drove me half way around the world to get there and when I mean he went through areas he had no business being in as it was a straight forward journey.
He didn’t let me know we would be late when he realised. And he only told me what he was doing when I called up the customer service help line. I missed my test by 36mins thanks for that. I’m awaiting a resolution as I expect compensation for the distress this has caused me.
And the fact I’m now losing a resit and having to pay for it also. Will let you know the outcome. This driver needs to be sacked!
